Welcome to Summer Term

Welcome to Summer Term and the UNLV campus. Summer courses have the same academic content as the Fall or Spring courses with the same titles, but the Summer courses move at a much faster pace. Many students enjoy limiting their attention to one or two topics, and they find that attending classes five days a week forces them to concentrate on the subject material.

While the courses are the same, the Summer Term policies are not the same as those in Fall or Spring. Registration policies and procedures are outlined on-line and in the printed schedule.

Most UNLV graduates have taken Summer courses. Recent high school graduates can begin their college careers early and complete their degrees sooner by taking Summer courses.

UNLV is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). When planning a degree program at UNLV or elsewhere, it is important to realize that courses taken as a non-admitted student may not count towards your degree objectives. Always consult an advisor at the institution from which you intend to receive your degree. In most cases undergraduate courses are fully transferable. Graduate colleges frequently have more restrictive rules.
