Dates and Deadlines

Session 1: May 20 to June 7

Session 2: June 10 to July 12

Session 3: July 15 to August 16

Note: Some courses have other begin, end, and drop dates. Also please take a moment to read the Summer Term Drop Policies.

Late Payment Period

Each course has a Late Payment Period. The end of the Late Payment period is the last day to add that course, change grading option, change from audit to credit, or pay fees. A Late Payment fee of $25 per day is assessed for payment during the Late Payment period. Avoid the Late Payment fees by registering and paying fees early. The end of the Academic Drop period is the last day to change from credit to audit.

The following Dates and Deadlines apply to standard session courses. If you are taking a non-standard, modular course refer to the specific course listing at Summer ESchedule for dates and deadlines. The end of the Academic drop period is the last day to change from credit to audit.

Session 1: May 20 - June 7

May 17

• Last day to register and pay for Session 1 courses without a late registration or payment fee.
• Last day to drop Session 1 courses, without a W on transcript, and to remove obligation to pay.
• Last day to drop Session 1 courses that are paid, without a W on transcript, and receive a 100% refund.

May 20

• Instruction begins for Session 1.
• Late registration and payment period for Session 1. Late registration and payment fees apply.
• For dropping and adding courses on this date see swap (offset) policy.

May 21

• Students who have not paid fees will be administratively withdrawn still owing 50% of course.

May 22

• Last day to withdraw from a Session 1 course and receive 50% refund.

May 27

• Memorial Day recess. No classes will be held.

May 30

• Last day to withdraw from a Session 1 course and receive 0% refund.

June 7

• Instruction ends for Session 1.

Session 2: June 10 - July 12

June 7

• Last day to register and pay for Session 2 courses without a late registration or payment fee.
• Last day to drop Session 2 courses, without a W on transcript, and to remove obligation to pay.
• Last day to drop Session 2 courses that are paid, without a W on transcript, and receive a 100% refund.

June 10

• Instruction begins for Session 2.

June 10-11

• Late registration and payment period for Session 2. Late registration and payment fees apply.

June 12

• Students who have not paid fees will be administratively withdrawn still owing 50% of course.

June 14

• Last day to withdraw from a Session 2 course and receive 50% refund.

June 28

• Last day to withdraw from a Session 2 course and receive 0% refund.

July 4

• Independence Day recess. No classes will be held.

July 12

• Instruction ends for Session 2.

Session 3: July 15 - August 16

July 12

• Last day to register and pay for Session 3 courses without a late registration or payment fee.
• Last day to drop Session 3 courses, without a W on transcript, and to remove obligation to pay.
• Last day to drop Session 3 courses that are paid, without a W on transcript, and receive a 100% refund.

July 15

• Instruction begins for Session 3.

July 15-16

• Last day to withdraw from a Session 3 course and receive 50% refund.
