How
to register online
Online
registration has a maximum time limit of eight minutes to complete
all transactions. Any student still logged in after eight minutes
will be automatically logged off.
You are encouraged to identify all first choice courses as well
as alternative courses before logging in to improve the probability
that you will complete the registration before the eight-minute
time limit expires.
ONLINE REGISTRATION
INSTRUCTIONS
- ONLINE REGISTRATION
can be accessed on the UNLV homepage at
http://register.unlv.edu/registerOnline.html.
- If you have a pop-up blocker, please reconfigure it to allow
access to bighorn.nevada.edu or press the CTRL-key while clicking
on the link.
- Enter your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER or your STUDENT IDENTIFICATION
NUMBER (listed on your Rebel Card) and click CONTINUE. If
you are a new student, the system will tell you how to set
up you PIN number.
- Enter your PIN number and continue.
- Select the appropriate semester (Summer).
- From the MENU click on Add/Drop/Find Classes button.
- In the white box enter the call number of the course
you with to add or drop (if you have already added the class,
entering the call number a second time and clicking continue
would drop that class) and click CONTINUE.
- If the class you wish to add is full, you may click on FIND
OPEN CLASSES. You can enter the same call number or subject
and course number and click SEARCH. The system then searches
for open sections of that class. If any are found, they will
be listed at the bottom of the page. To add a new class enter
a Call number and press Add Class or Select a class below
and then press Add Class. By selecting a class below, the
call number will be automatically entered in the Add Class
field for you. If a class does not have a call number, you
cannot enroll in that class online. You will need to see the
class schedule.
Class Number_______________Add Class
If you do not see a section that is appropriate for you, click
SEARCH to see if there are any more open sections. You can
also check your trial schedule for alternate classes that
meet your requirements.
- If no other option is available and the class you need is
full, then you will need a "Full Class Waiver/Prerequisite
Waiver" approval form. The form can be picked up in various
places. Sometimes the class you are trying to register for
is not full, but the system will not let you register for
it. This might occur because the course may have a prerequisite
you haven't taken. This is usually the case for transfer students.
Once the form has all the required signatures on it, return
the approval form to the Registrar's Office
in Frazier Hall.
- If you have a HOLD on your registration, you will
not be able to complete your registration until the office
placing the hold on your registration releases the hold.
Please contact the Registrar's Office at (702)
895-3371 for assistance.
- When you have completed ONLINE REGISTRATION, always click
END SESSION and close your internet browser
