Admission
Summer enrollment is open to admitted and non-admitted students.
Refer to the UNLV Admission website (www.unlv.edu/admissions)
to learn how to apply to the university.
Non-admitted students are not eligible for financial aid, scholarships,
Veterans Administration benefits, or academic advisement.
Admitted students who want to use Summer Term credits in their
degree programs are advised to consult catalogs and faculty
advisors in the university from which they intend to receive
their degrees.
All admitted freshmen students should meet with academic advisors
from the departments in which they plan to major. For a complete
list of your academic advisors, first go to UNLV's home page
(www.unlv.edu),
then go to the Quick Find pull-down menu and click under Academic
Advisors. Students who have not declared majors contact the
University College Advising Center, (702) 895-3177, to make
Appointments to see an academic advisor.
Graduate Students
The deadline for admission to graduate programs varies with
the program. Contact the department of interest for additional
information.
Non-degree seeking post-baccalaureate students may complete
the Non-Degree Seeking Graduate Student form online at graduatecollege.unlv.edu.
Non-degree seeking graduate students (Graduate Specials) may
enroll in 600 or 700 level courses with the consent of the instructor.
No guarantee, of course, can be given that such work may be
subsequently included in advanced degree programs here at UNLV
or elsewhere.
Graduate courses with a 700E designation may not be used in
a UNLV graduate degree program. Additionally, courses which
are graded on a satisfactory/fail basis may not be used in a
graduate degree program except for thesis, dissertation or professional
paper.
Students may take no more than six graduate credits in a five-week
session, no more than three graduate credits in a three-week
session, and no more than twelve credits for the entire Summer
Term.
